Originally from Michigan, Ivan Bartha developed One Planet Adventures to fill a niche in the outdoor education and leadership training industry focused on the Midwest Region of the US. After 20 plus years in the outdoor leadership profession, Ivan is now parlaying that experience into a small, client centered business that uses a network of Associates with a proven record and reputation as being some of the best in the outdoor leadership profession. Currently, Ivan is an American Canoe Association Instructor Trainer, Leave No Trace Master Educator and ECSI Instructor for Emergency Response Training. He has worked with many well respected local, state, federal and university programs to develop their respective programs. |van is also Pro Staff for Aquabound & Bending Branches Paddles, based out of Osceola, WI and works as a consultant for outdoor industry manufacturers.

A Minnesota Native, Mark Carlson currently serves as the Outdoor Leadership and Recreation Therapy Faculty Coordinator at Vermilion Community College in Ely, MN. Mark's background and experience spans over 20 years as an Instructor, Course Director, and staff trainer at Voyageur Outward Bound, BLM Backcountry Ranger, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator, and Adaptive Snow Sports Instructor. He has a long list of expedition trips on the Canadian Shield. Mark is an American Canoe Association Instructor Trainer in Coastal Kayaking and L2 SUP Instructor as well as a Leave No Trace Master Educator and WFR. In his 10 years as a faculty member of both Rainy River Community College and Vermilion Community College, Mark has built a strong academic and applied program that has seen marked increase in enrollment largely due to his leadership.

Zak Aubol is native to East Grand Forks, MN and a lifelong outdoor enthusiasts. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Zak not only brings a strong outdoor leadership & training background to OPA, but also has a strong background in employee training and evaluation. He is an ACA L3 Coastal Kayak Instructor, PCIA Climbing Wall Manager and LNT Master Educator. There is no one out there better than Zak when it comes to consultation on staff training manuals, online learning and measurement of learning outcomes. Zak works for the State of Oregon as a training expert for Occupational Health & Safety Administration.

A UK native, Ben is the newest addition to the One Planet Adventures family. An international trainers, explorer and photographer, Ben fills a long overdue niche with his impressive background in swiftwater rescue, outdoor leadership and paddlesports background. Ben is a trainer for Sierra Rescue and Rescue 3 International. While his rescue & paddlesports experience is impressive, Ben is also an accomplished outdoor educator and photographer spending the better part of his career working in international settings including the UK, Australia, Malaysia, China, Norway, Morocco and Nepal.
